First White Dress

I just have to brag on Hali's little blessing dress, isn't is beautiful? My mom made it! I am very lucky she is so talented in sewing! Six years ago when my first nephew was born my mom made his little tuxedo. She then made two dresses for my nieces and two more tuxedos for my other nephews. So you can see the pattern - my mom has gotten herself into a very special tradition. Before Hali was even born my mom and I looked around for material and different things to use on the dress. We also looked at lots of other blessing dresses and ways to make it. My mom brought it yesterday morning before we blessed Hali and I couldn't be any happier with how it turned out. Not only is it beautiful, but it fits like a glove! I think it is such a special thing to tell Hali that her grandma made her little dress! Thanks again mom!

Like she made that! That is amazing. How long did it take her? I think I'm doomed to all boys, but if I ever have a little girl, I might have to hire her!

PS. Are you guys really coming up??!! We are way pumped!

What a special day! I hope you'll put the dress in a shadow box and hang it in her room. My sister-in-law, Rachel has her's hanging up and I just think its such a neat thing. Especially since her grandma made it for her.
